Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened1 cup sugar1/2 cup packed brown sugar2 large eggs, room temperature1 teaspoon vanilla extract1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour2 teaspoons baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1 cup English toffee bits or almond brickle chips
Preparation
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in toffee bits.
Spread into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
