Ingredients
1/4 cup butter, softened1/2 cup sugar1 cup all-purpose flour2 teaspoons baking powder1/2 cup 2% milk2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries3/4 cup unsweetened apple juiceOptional: Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°. In a small bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Combine flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk just until moistened.
Pour into a greased 1-1/2-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with blackberries. Pour juice over top. Bake until golden brown, 45-50 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
