Ingredients
3 c. heavy cream
1 11-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
2 drops each assorted food coloring (pink, purple, green, blue, yellow)
Sprinkles, for topping (optional)
Preparation
Step 1In a large bowl using a hand mixer or in the bowl of a stand mixer using the whisk attachment, whisk heavy cream until medium peaks form. Step 2Fold in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla until totally combined, then divide mixture among 5 bowls. Step 3Add a different color food coloring to each bowl (we used pink, purple, green, blue and yellow) and stir until combined.Step 4Layer dollops of the colors in a 9"-x-5" loaf pan until you run out of the mixture.Step 5Smooth the top and run a knife through the mixture to swirl the colors (don’t overmix or else the colors will become muddy; 4 to 5 swirls should be plenty).Step 6Top with sprinkles (if using) and freeze until firm, 5 hours.Step 7Remove from freezer and let soften, 5 to 10 minutes, then scoop and serve.
