Ingredients

1/4 c. plus 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced and divided

2 tbsp. freshly chopped rosemary

1 28-oz. can crushed tomatoes

kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

1 lb. ground turkey

1 c. bread crumbs

1 large egg

3 tbsp. freshly chopped parsley, plus more for garnish

1 c. shredded mozzarella

Preparation

Step 1Preheat oven to 375°. Make sauce: In a large pot over low heat, heat 1/4 cup oil. Add half the garlic and all the rosemary and stir, making sure it doesn’t burn, until fragrant, 1 minute. Add tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Let simmer while you make meatballs.Step 2Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine turkey, bread crumbs, egg, remaining garlic, and parsley and season with salt and pepper. Roll mixture into meatballs and set aside.Step 3In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat remaining 2 tablespoons oil. Add meatballs and brown, moving occasionally to ensure they don’t stick, about 5 minutes. Step 4Ladle sauce into skillet and over meatballs. Top with cheese and bake until meatballs are cooked through, 10 minutes more.Step 5Garnish with parsley and serve.
