Ingredients
1 tsp. olive oil
1 chopped shallot
1 c. ketchup
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1 c. Coca-Cola®
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. Hot sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
3 lb. party wings
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Sauté shallot in olive oil until softened, add in all other ingredients and bring to a boil over medium heat. Continue to boil and stir frequently until sauce has reduced and thickened, about 10 minutes.Step 2Season the wings with salt and pepper. Lay them in a single layer in a large parchment-covered roasting pan or sheet pan. Spray with nonstick cooking spray and use two pans if necessary; do not crowd the wings. Step 3Bake the wings until browned, about 45 minutes, turning the pan once midway through. Remove pan(s) from oven, remove wings, and discard all the fat from the pan. Step 4Return wings to the pan and pour BBQ sauce over wings, making sure to coat evenly. Return wings to the oven and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping once during cook time.
