Ingredients
12 King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls, quartered
2 c. milk
1/3 c. heavy cream
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/4 c. mini chocolate chips
1/4 c. white chocolate chips, melted
Powdered sugar, for garnish
Preparation
Step 1Preheat oven to 350°. Spread bread on a large baking sheet and bake until the bread is toasted, about 10 minutes.Step 2In a large bowl, whisk together milk, cream, eggs, and vanilla. In a medium bowl, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fully incorporated. Step 3Place toasted bread in a medium baking dish and pour over milk mixture. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and bake until there is no visible moisture, about 45 minutes. Drizzle with white chocolate, dust with powdered sugar, and serve hot.
