Ingredients
Vegetable oil
6 slices Sargento® Creamery Sliced Natural Cheddar Cheese
1 1/2 lb. ground turkey meat
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 sesame hamburger buns
1 c. shredded green cabbage
1/2 c. shredded purple cabbage
1/2 c. shredded carrot
1 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp. sugar
Large pinch celery seed
Preparation
Step 1Prepare a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the grill with vegetable oil. Step 2Cut each slice of cheese into 4 squares.Step 3Divide turkey into 8 (3 oz. each) balls. Pat each ball into a 5-inch round patty.Step 4On 4 of the patties stack 6 squares of cheese on top of each other. Top with remaining 4 patties. Press edges together shape into a 4 1/2-inch circle. Season patties with salt and black pepper. Step 5Place buns on grill cut side down and grill until lightly toasted, about 30 seconds. Remove to a plate and keep warm.Step 6Grill patties covered, about 6 minutes per side. Let burgers rest on cutting board for 5 minutes.Step 7Meanwhile, combine both cabbages, the carrots, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, and celery seed in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper and toss to coat.Step 8To assemble burgers, top bottom bun with a patty and top the patty with slaw. Serve immediately.
