Ingredients
2 1/2 c. shredded pepper jack
2 c. shredded cheddar, divided
2 (8-oz.) blocks cream cheese, softened
2 jalapeños, minced
1 tsp. chili powder
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
12 King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls, halved across
1/4 c. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1 green onion, thinly sliced
Preparation
Step 1Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, stir together pepper jack, 1 1/2 cup cheddar, cream cheese, jalapeño, garlic and chili powder and season with salt and pepper. Step 2In a large, high-sided skillet, overlap halved rolls cut-side down around the edge of the skillet to form a ring. In a small bowl stir together melted butter, garlic powder, and chili powder. Brush all over rolls. Step 3Add cheese mixture to the center of the skillet and smooth so that it touches the rolls. Top with remaining ½ cup cheddar and bake until rolls are golden and cheese is melted and bubbly, 15 to 18 minutes. Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
