Ingredients
3/4 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. pure vanilla extract
3 2/3 c. graham crackers crumbs (from 11 graham cracker sheets)
2 1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
2/3 c. mini chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1In a large bowl using a hand mixer or in the bowl of a stand mixer, beat butter, brown sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Step 2Add graham cracker crumbs, milk, and salt and mix until fully incorporated. Step 3Using a spatula, fold in chocolate chips and serve immediately.
Test Kitchen Tip: You can buy packaged graham cracker crumbs at the store, or you can make your own! For this recipe, you’ll need 22 graham cracker sheets (or 2 1/2 sleeves). Our version eliminates those ingredients so it’s safe to eat and just as good. Can edible cookie dough be vegan? The short answer is yes. It’s quite easy to substitute the butter and milk for vegan butter and non- dairy milk. Almond milk, cashew milk, or oat milk are good options. Can I replace the chocolate chips? If you prefer white chocolate chips, walnuts, or raisins then go for it! You can add to the dough or replace the chocolate chips as your heart desires. How long does it stay fresh? It may be hard to reserve some for later but if you do store the cookie dough in an airtight container and place in the fridge. It should be good for about a week and then after that make a fresh batch! You can also portion the dough into small Ziplock freezer bags and store in the freezer for up to a month. Made this recipe?
