Ingredients
2 (8-oz.) blocks cream cheese, softened
1 c. shredded cheddar
1 small green bell pepper, finely chopped
4 oz. (about 1 c.) dried or chipped beef, divided
2 green onions, thinly sliced, divided
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. cayenne
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Crackers, for serving
Preparation
Step 1In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar, bell pepper, 1/4 cup dried beef, 1 green onion, Worcestershire, garlic powder, and cayenne. Season with salt and pepper. Step 2Form into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate until firm, at least 2 hours. Step 3On a plate, combine remaining ¾ cup dried beef and remaining green onion. Unwrap cheese ball and roll into dried beef mixture to coat the outside.Step 4 Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with crackers.
