Ingredients
8 thick slices brioche or challah bread, preferably day old
4 large eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 c. crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Butter, for frying
Maple syrup, for dipping
Preparation
Step 1Cut slices of bread into 1” thick sticks. In a shallow bowl whisk together eggs, milk, and cinnamon. Place crushed cereal in another shallow bowl. Step 2Working one at a time, dip bread sticks into egg mixture and then into cereal, pressing to coat well. Step 3 In a large skillet over medium heat, melt a tab of butter. Working in batches, add coated bread sticks and cook until golden and crispy, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Repeat with remaining sticks, adding more butter to skillet as necessary.Step 4 Serve warm with maple syrup for dipping.
