Ingredients

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and roughly chopped

1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil

kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

4 slices cooked bacon, chopped

2 oz. softened cream cheese (1/4 block)

1 c. shredded sharp white cheddar

1/2 c. shredded Gruyere

1/2 c. sour cream

1/4 c. freshly chopped chives

Preparation

Step 1Heat broiler. On a baking sheet, toss asparagus with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Broil until tender and slightly charred, 5 to 7 minutes. Reduce heat to 375°.Step 2Transfer asparagus to a large bowl. Add bacon, cheeses, sour cream and chives and season with pepper. Stir until combined. Step 3Transfer dip to a bread bowl or baking dish and bake until cheese is bubbly and dip warmed through, 18 to 20 minutes. Serve with bread, crackers, or vegetables.
