What tequila should I use for these margaritas? We suggest a silver tequila in this recipe—just like in our classic and mistletoe margaritas. Any blanco or silver tequila will work beautifully in this recipe, but we recommend staying away from any gold tequilas.  What kind of rim should I make? We love a salt rim with our margs, but if sugar is more your thing—go for it! Simply swap out the course salt for granulated sugar. Or, do both, so everyone has an option for a sweet or salty rim.  Can I make this in advance? Absolutely! This is a great make-ahead drink for a crowd. If you want to make this in advance, combine all of your ingredients—minus the champagne—into a pitcher and refrigerate. When you’re ready to serve, divide your margarita mixture into your glasses, then top with champagne.  Looking for more marg recipes?
